I worked with this adorable family a couple of weeks ago out at the Ballard Locks and we were so lucky to have such a beautiful day to work with!! You gotta love Seattle in the summertime!
I'm in love with these maternity photos taken at Seattle's lovely Golden Gardens park. Such a lovely day! And such a beautiful momma-to-be!
This is a portrait of my sister-in-law and friend Cat Thrasher. Cat is an amazing photographer. Really (you can see her work here). I snapped this shot of Cat a few weeks ago while visiting she and my bother in Virginia. And I love it! It is just spot on Cat! I posted it earlier this week on a photographer's Facebook page that Cat and I both follow. After I posted it, one reader wrote "I don't even know Cat Thrasher and this pic makes me like her immediately." Another said "If I saw this in the About section of a website, I'd like her instantly and would want to hire her!"
And that my friends, is why having a good headshot is so important!
So, if you are in the market for a good headshot for work, Facebook, Linked In, your book cover... whatever! Please give me a call! I'd love to take it!
Here are some photos that I took of my brother Jim, my super talented sister-in-law Cat Thrasher, and my two ADORABLE nieces while visiting them in Virginia a few weeks ago. I miss them all so much, and am so happy to have had the opportunity to photograph them! Wish they lived closer!
I love the softness of film! So pretty.
Hey Friends! I'm in Washington, DC learning to shoot film from the great Jonathan Canlas!! You can follow my adventures on Facebook and Instagram, and I'll see you back here on the blog on May 27th!

I just can't stop taking pictures of these people... they are just too adorable!!

Happy Birthday to my silly boys!!
Last week my assistant and friend Lily along with her wife Michelle welcomed a baby girl into the world! I of course could not stay away and showed up the next day with my camera and proceeded to make poor little Ida cry. I'm a mean lady. :) Welcome to the world Ida!! And congratulations Lily and Michelle!!!
